Roles and Responsibilities

We will match your skills, knowledge and training very carefully to our client’s individual needs. You will not be required to wear a uniform but we would recommend that you carry an ID badge. It does not need to be on show, but have it available to present should you be asked. Here are some of the general tasks that a client could expect you to undertake:

  • Companionship
  • Communication with client’s family or representative
  • Light housework
  • Shopping and daily meal preparation
  • Laundry, washing and ironing
  • Day-to-day home administration
  • Accompanying clients on trips out, holidays or to appointments
  • Help with getting up and going to bed, washing and dressing
  • Prompting to take medication
  • To be confidential and compassionate at all times
